    6. Using Raw Pea Shoots In Salads

Fresh pea shoots can replace many types of leafy greens like baby spinach or even lettuce. Add some chopped tomatoes, cucumber and bell peppers into a large bowl, toss in some pea shoots and dress everything with a homemade basil lime vinaigrette dressing! It's possibly the easiest way to use up a generous amount of pea shoots! What a perfect way to add extra Vitamin C to your salads!

    7. Great Addition To Smoothies

Sweet pea shoots are great in smoothies and freshly made juices. Their sweet taste is even better than spinach, kale and other greens used in smoothies!

    8. Pea Shoots in Sandwiches, Wraps and Pita Pockets

The tender leaves of young pea plants are a great addition to sandwiches, wraps and pita pockets. Simply use a handful of pea shoots wherever you'd add lettuce, spinach or watercress. Their crisp texture works wonders with soft and creamy sandwich fillings!

    9. Tempura Pea Shoots

Now, for something a little different! Try dipping your tender shoots in thin tempura batter and frying them in oil! Sprinkle crispy pea shoots with sea salt and black pepper and use them as a delicious garnish as well as a snack!

    10. Peashoots Make A Beautiful Garnish

Add a small amount of pea shoots on top of your pasta dishes, risotto recipes, white fish or chicken meals. You can use pea greens anywhere you'd use parsley or sliced green onions! We even love pea shoots on soup - like our Pea & Feta Soup!

Hi, I am Ieva – the cook and baker in our North Wales home. I share my life with my husband Seb, who doubles as my number-one taste tester, our golden retriever Sawyer, who’s always on crumb patrol and multiple sourdough starters. My days revolve around food—whether I’m experimenting with new recipes, tending to my veggie garden, or sneaking bites of “taste tests” (quality control, of course). Cooking isn’t just a passion; it’s my way of keeping Seb from reaching ‘hangry’ levels! Somebody HAS to feed Seb…
